Our 24-Hour NYC Adventure with Monica: The Perfect NYC Host & Guide
Our whirlwind 24-hour adventure in the Big Apple was nothing short of amazing. Katerina and I were fortunate enough to visit my wonderful girlfriend, Monica, in NYC, and we tried our best to make every moment count. While Eddie and Johann were in Ohio for Johann’s last JLA basketball tournament, we immersed ourselves in the city’s vibrant energy.
We started with what might be the most amazing bagels from Bialys, savoring every bite.
A quick detour took us past John Lennon’s old apartment and a walk through Central Park led us to the iconic Bow Bridge providing a picturesque backdrop for our memories.
We marveled at The Vessel, the striking centerpiece of Hudson Yards, before embarking on a stroll along the High Line. This 1.45-mile elevated park, built on an old freight rail line, offered a unique perspective of Manhattan’s West Side. To keep our energy up, we grabbed a quick hot dog – a classic NYC snack. We then managed to squeeze in a brief 15-minute visit to The Met. Rockefeller Plaza and Times Square were next on our list, giving us a taste of the city’s bustling energy.
For lunch, we enjoyed a musical interlude at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where the talented wait staff serenaded us as we ate and enjoyed some quality girl time.
Before we knew it, our 24 hours were up, and we were rushing to catch our plane, excited to meet up with Eddie and Johann for our upcoming European adventures. While our NYC visit was short, we’re thankful for the memories we made and the sights we saw in this incredible city.
Thank you Monica for hosting us and making every moment count! Until next time…
XOXO, Heidi
